WHY DONATE TO FUNNY FARM MUSTANGS?
Funny Farm Mustangs humbly accepts any donations provided by individuals and businesses alike, however, it should be noted that feed/grain is our primary concern not just “getting money.” Any money goes directly to a business account in the name of Funny Farm Mustangs, through Wells Fargo Bank, unlike some organizations that have “C/O” and a person’s name. We draw money from this account for the feed and care of the animals as well as the upkeep of equipment, including maintenance, repair and replacement. Donations will also provide for educational and mentoring programs currently being conducted, both for adopters and the general public and covers advertising, pamphlets and brochures, shirts, hats and other incidentals that will help promote the organization and the mission. These educational programs are in conjunction with the BLM and other organizations sharing the same interests. Funny Farm Mustangs will provide an opportunity for people to donate in a number of ways, to include through the website and PayPal, sponsorships, grants, fairs, merchandise and other standard fund raising activities. A key point to emphasize will be that Funny Farm Mustangs ALWAYS needs good hay and feed and any donated horse equipment/tack can and will be refurbished on site and put on the website for donations.
Please note: NO SALARIES are provided to anyone at Funny Farm Mustangs, which allows 100% of all donations to go directly to the care, training, and maintenance of the Mustangs and Burros.
FUNNY FARM MUSTANGS SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
The Funny Farm Mustang sponsorship program is geared towards those individuals who cannot or do not have the time and/or facility to adopt and care for an American Mustang. The sponsorship program provides for the gentling, training, feeding and educational outreach programs and is a program that an individual can participate in, or with others, for a small monthly sponsorship allotment of $15.00 a month for a minimum of three (3) months, which is the standard amount of time required to gentle, start under saddle and adopt out, an American Mustang. Sponsors of an American Mustang will receive a photograph with an accompanying biography of “their” sponsored horse and can track any training and updates on our website or Facebook page. All sponsors will be recognized on the Funny Farm Mustangs website. The $15.00 monthly donation goes directly to the horse and it’s care requirements, to include hay, grain, feed supplements, vet services, farrier and/or any additional training equipment required. Supporters will ALWAYS be given the right of first refusal when the adoptions are scheduled to begin, in order of how they signed up.
FUNNY FARM FEED FRIEND
Become a “Funny Farm Feed Friend” when you donate $20.00 to Funny Farm Mustangs and receive a one-of-a-kind “Funny Farm Mustangs” T-Shirt! These T-shirts are incredibly durable, breathable cotton and last for years! As a Feed Friend, your $20.00 donation goes to ONLY feed (one bale of hay = $18.00, the remaining $2.00 goes towards any grain/supplements needed by the mustangs or burros when being readied for adoption and the mustangs and burros permanently residing at the Funny Farm). The $20.00 donation does not include shipping which is a USPS flat rate of $5.80 anywhere in the Continental United States. Shirts will be shipped the following day. Again…Thank You!!
